Officially established in 1977, the Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary is made up of volunteers whose goal is to support the Pueblo Grande Museum including the coordination of the annual Indian Market. The Indian Market is the primary fundraiser for the Auxiliary. The funds are raised to help support the Pueblo Grande Museum, which is operated by the City of Phoenix's Parks and Recreation Department. These funds have paid for a number of new exhibits as well as providing the staff with items not covered by the City’s budget. The Market requires the help of about 400 volunteers to work a 4-hour shift on the two weekend days of the Market, but help is also needed during the week preceding and the Monday following the event. Volunteers receive a commemorative pin, free snacks and drink in the hospitality tent and are invited to an Appreciation Party in January following the Market where they can win prizes. Volunteers also get free admission to the Market. Best of all, they get the satisfaction of helping a special Museum. If you would like to volunteer please email us at volunteer@pgmarket.org or call 602-495-0901. Below is a description of our volunteer needs. Admissions:
